... and Cortney somehow ended up with a bunch of random things including a Kinder egg complete with a little toy inside. Very strange. We played eye spy all the way back to the hostel and then it was time for a nap. We were such tired crazy people after beeping up on the bus all night. ... too many Euro coins is a more common problem (one I now have), given I only bought one thing all day I had nothing of the sort. Fortunately someone made change for me and I was told to get a ticket at a machine that was found to be broken. Eventually I sat back down and handed another attendant the coins, but this was not the start I was looking for. Hopefully my public transportation skills improve as the trip goes on...as well as my interactions with Germans! ;-)

Dad and I went over to Kaarst to meet Herr Strauss who is the director of the Kaarster Nepal Initiative which is an organisation that tries to support and develop possibilities for children in Nepal (http://www.ngo-forum.de/). They work with Deepak in Nepal who is running a similar organisation Child Welfare and Education (http://cwehome.org.np/contact).
