After a long and tiring journey we arrived at our campsite. Weather is lovely so went for an uphill walk in the evening. Just enjoying a beer in the bar now. Day by the pool tomorrow me thinks. Did a little reading by the van after breakfast and then dozed off. After lunch went and had a dip in the pool. ... Hubert and he thought it wasn't necessary. He played well but no songs I could sing with so that was a shame. We had a good laugh and the people there were real nice, friendly and some of them interesting. With 2 lawyers and one prefect we were well represented by the law. Visit to Puy de Dome district

The Puy de Dome district is an area of extinct volcanoes in the southern part of France. We stayed at a village perched on the side of a rocky steep hillside called Saint Nectaire. It is famous for its certain types of cheese and they had a cheese shop there to try it.
