Over 400km later, we arrived at our next overnight stop in La Ciotat. Was a newly built apartment over looking the port. We unpacked, jumped back in the car and grabbed some supplies from the Supermarket. Some clothes washing was on the agenda as well as something for dinner. We thought we would stay 'home' tonight so ...

... round of questions, we left the port and headed to lunch.

After having one of the best lasagnas I have ever had for lunch, we headed to Fedex. At Fedex we listened to a presentation that gave us an overview of Fedex as a whole and some specifics as to how their branch ran. We then toured the facilities where house, which was mostly empty because the packages for that day had been sorted and were out for ...

Still being able to translate we got a good presentation with a large floor/table map of the port ...

In the night there was a thunderstorm. Heavy lightning and long, rumbling thunder. Naturally I was worried about the weather in the morning. Jane opened the shutter and a clear blue sky emerged - saved! As we were up before Baguette-Man arrived we had early breakfast and were at the beach early. Mr and Mrs Cosmetic already had their plot staked out but obviously were nowhere to be seen. I thought only the Germans did that.... It soon got packed with us English packed ...

      Settling in

Jane says the music stopped before 11 pm and I have to say it is quiet here after that. Les Lavandes had been close to a big road with motorbikes soaring past and, as we had the flat right next to the main entrance people would wake us up drunkenly banging the door. None of that here. I got my cuddle, Bryan delivered the baguette and pain au chocolate, we had a huge mug of coffee - clearly the holidays have begun. Tradition has it we go to the ...
