It was strange to arrive in Brussels and discover everyone was speaking French. It was also harder to find our way around as all the street names were slightly different than our map.

... at the outset I had narrowed it down to either Moules Frites or Carbonnade Flamanade (a Beef stew cooked in beer). The centre of Brussels was a mass of restaurants, all with waiters trying to entice you in. After resisting quite a few (mostly because I find that all a bit unpleasant) we took a punt on a restaurant with one of the slightly less insistent chaps out front. Had breakfast with Gerry. Muesli and Croissants. Went for Drive to Leuven. About 20 km away. Had coffe cream and little cake in cafe in Square listened to golden nam strike the ging nip of they church. sr printer skirt. Amazing wooden pulpit. Had lunch in Pub.
