    ... relaxed for a while, then walked around the area for a bit. We headed back over there again later at night to see it lit up at night. It was even more beautiful then and even lit up to sparkle for a few minutes.

    Our time in Paris has been short, but it's been great and I have enjoyed this city. We are looking forward to spending a couple days in Amsterdam next!

    ... the top after a few more floors and were greeted by a great view of the city with the Eiffel tower in the background and a hot air balloon. We ran into Luke, Sheridan and Scarlet on the roof and had chat to them. After absorbing the ambiance we decided to descend back into the chaos that is Paris.

    An early start to get the train to London from Kettering turned into the usual drama for us! We decided to change to an earlier train so we had more time in St Pancras station to make our Eurostar connection to Paris, we got there in plenty of time to catch the 8.55 instead of the 9.26 only to find it cancelled at the last moment due to technical difficulties.     ... next stop, the Eiffel Tower. We didn't go up yesterday as we knew we would today. We ate lunch on level one of the tower, and I had a glass of white wine which was possibly the best wine I've had.
