... purslane in garlic yogurt (I’ll try this with mache), and a kind of ratatouille of eggplant, zucchini, and peppers flavored with olive oil, garlic and lemon. They make a dessert of semolina, sugar, water, margarine, and nuts. The simple syrup is flavored with lemon geranium leaf. We got to taste all this, and I and 2 others got to make a borek out of phyllo and feta. I must say mine was the best looking!

We missed breakfast so by the time we finished at 12.30 we were pretty hungry. Out of Belek we headed east and stopped at the first restaurant for lunch. Annie had chicken kebab, me lamb meatballs, had a mixed salad, water and coffee all for 10E, and it was really good.... you can live ...

... why build a house out of stone blocks 75cm thick? They must have weighed 500kg, at least. The best preserved part was the amphitheatre. Set on a cliff it was still very impressive and from the walls you got a great view down the valley.

The streets were very noisy last night, it was Saturday Night. Needless to say neither of got a really good sleep. So we were a bit slow moving this morning, then took the old tram to the Antalya Museum. A couple of lazy days and really enjoying staying our little apartment. The area is mostly residential but lots of little shops, cafes and fast food joints; we think the Turks eat out a lot.
