Beach bum life! Today we spent the entire day on the beach. We rented lounge chairs and umbrellas and relaxed. It was a refreshing day. Friday we headed over to Puerto Banus to Steve and Ann's apartment for a BBQ after we had Sam run us to the local supermarket so we proud re stock Ellisa with all the liquids and heavy goods we needed for next few weeks. Good job done as we found Bacardi lemon, Sals favourite drink so the boat is now significantly heavier, Saturday was Sals Birthday so after a lazy brunch a shore, Sal heads off ...

The Folk Museum, Contemporary Art Centre and Town Hall (# 14, 15 and 16) were all closed, and we had visited the last point of interest, the Ermita del Calvario (the Calvary chapel) way up the mountainside during our first hike in the hills. Maybe we should take a hint, and take siesta time like the locals!!
... looked like quite a modern town where the signs ran out, they don't seem to favour "Town Centre" signs here in Spain! So after a bit of driving round the local housing estates we found ourselves on what looked like a main road into the town, at the end of this road signs directed us to the car park, headroom 2.3m phew! ... the gates, apparently they do that when it rains although we don't know why. We do find a way in though, even though it involves a bit of walking in the rain. It's worth it because the view is quite spectacular. Ronda is set high up above a valley and the views down to the river are amazing. These old walled towns have wonderful panoramas and unlike Australia, none of it is fenced off. They would have a field day with it at home ...
