Aujourd'hui ce termine mon aventure en Italie! Mais quelle aventure de reve! La quantites de choses que j'ai apprise, les idees que j'ai acquises et surtout les gens que j'ai connu ont fait de ce voyage un moment inoubliable ! I just left Milano where I took my last course of coffee and I loved it ! I'm actually very sad to leave this beautiful country and all my friends here, who knows when I will see them again? but it's now time ...
... and a day after arriving in Nice.
The trip to Milan from Cagnes-sur-mer is about 3 1/2 hours by car. The toll roads here are ridiculous! Basically all of the highways cost tolls. Some of them are what you would expect, 1.50 or even 2.50. The main highway that we took through Italy along the Meditteranean before cutting North towards Milan cost us 27.80 Euro EACH WAY!! It was quite a place. Next we visited the old Milan Sforza Castle. This old ...
... mat so we don't slip, a chopping knife for cooking so we don't have to eat out every night, some other cookware, and a few other items that would make life in the apartment more comfortable. These items we'll leave in Italy as gifts to our landlord if he wishes to keep them here for the next occupants. Laden down with all of our purchases, we went back by bus and subway to our apartment. I have to say, it feels so much nicer having two pillows on my bed!
