... interesting people- there is a fad in Tokyo called Koz Dressing- which is costume dress up- where people wear outfits that portray their "virtual" or fantasy lives. I guess its kinda like making everyday Halloween.

We decide to try to go for traditional Japanese food tonight. We find a small corner restaurant that says they can seat us in 30 min so we tottle off to H&M to have a look see and return to have dinner at Han ...

... days later, I am coming to find I am falling in love with. Initially it feels a bit otherworldly and fake, but I now realise that this is the way of this country mostly. I had hear it said before that the Japanese were so nice, but it is impossible to relay how that affects one until experiences are gained in this subject.

We carried on to the shrine and were amazed by its grandeur. Quite difficult to explain what it’s like, have a look at the pictures and ...

... order the meal was supposed to be consumed in as I worked from a left to right manner. I finished the meal with a basket of Tempura, consisting of eggplant, shrimp and greens (from memory, I think more Brussel sprouts). Overall, I felt overwhelmed by the presentation and effort taken for this meal – I said to Nobuku "I don’t think I deserve this meal!".

... afford at this time, but boy was it enough. 150 euros later I had myself an entire new wardrobe. And I could finally toss out some of the ripped and stained rags I had been carrying around for far too long. Hallelujah!

Upon my exiting the shop and merging into the lunch crowds, I was approached by a young Japanese man in a business suit. Who promptly asked me the question: "How much?". I was flabbergasted. I had expected this behaviour in Egypt (which is where ...

... illustrations as small quilts with an incredible amount of skill. But as I don't have a particular attachment to the series (though I've read the first book and found it quite charming), I didn't feel like fighting the throngs to get many pictures, and instead focused my limited energy on the other section. I quite liked the "60" section, which featured a quilt from each of 60 different artists.

    Overall, a good year.
