... hides out (and trashes) in the latest film is in Lacock. And, wait for it, I can offer you an exclusive preview into what Harry Potter's parents' house (in Godric's Hollow) looks like, which will be appearing in the next film! How cool is that? Ok, well, only Caroline and Terri and a couple of other HP fans will get excited about it, but I thought it was cool.
Anyway, since I'm feeling rather sniffly, I think I'll end my entry here.

... church with ones we had already seen in Europe and North Africa. (I also suspect we’ll be visiting a lot of different churches in Italy, too!)
After the Saxon Church, we drove to the Tithe Barn at The Granary, still in Bradford-on-Avon. The barn, built in the mid-14th century, had really interesting arched, timber roof trusses – historically, this was very noteworthy carpentry! (They don’t build them like they used to, do they?)

Well 7 weeks to GO!!!!
June is still busy buying clothes can't keep her out the shops. We are busy trying to set up all the systems we need in place and staff what they need to do in our absence.
Great finding so many people interested in what we will be doing and where we are travelling to.
Just want to get Junes problem sorted at the hospital they are messing us about. Got heavy with them today.
Watch out for the next update.
... was trying to avoid him by taking a picture really quick with the statue but he was quicker than I was! After my picture was taken with him, he started talking to us about heavy metal, and he was actually kind of funny...but I never ended up being able to take my picture with the lovely Ms. Austen.
We then caught our bus back to London and went to bed right away as we had to be up by 3:15am to get ready to catch a flight to Berlin.
... t see more. We piled back on the bus and commenced our 3 hour journey back to London followed by another 2 hours to back to Oxford. I lost count of how much time we actually spent on the bus but it was a large portion of our day. We never made it back into Oxford till about 11pm and had left our house at 6:30am. Considering we had 2 hours in Windsor, 40 minutes in Stonehenge, and 2 hours in Bath, that is a lot of travel time for what we spent ...
Bath, England, United Kingdom devinwatson... 2,000 years ago (with many modifications to the buildings by the Victorians) and went to see the Jane Austen Centre. I took a Jane Austen class last semester, which is what turned me on to this city in the first place. Northanger Abbey and Persuasion are partially set here, and Austen herself lived about five years of her life here. I would say that Bath still has many of the same qualities it did back when she wrote ...
Bath, England, United Kingdom akb2ic21 March 2008 - Friday Mom has been in the UK for just under a week and one of the requests on coming over was to book a weekend away on a narrowboat. There are so many canals and options across the UK, but the location picked was to start off at Staverton on the Kennet & Avon canal. This apparently is one of the canals with the least locks en-route. A big drawing card when initially the trip was only booked for two people - my mom and I. Also, the feedback we'd ...
Bath, United Kingdom vermaakjeanne... as Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry in the first two films. Two of the houses in town are going to be used for Harry Potter Six with filming starting in October. And best of all, in the back of town, sits the house that was used to shoot the scenes in Harry's parents' house in the first film... the scene where he receives his lightning bolt scar and becomes the boy wizard who survived an attack from him whose name ...
Bath, United Kingdom northwesthookYesterday we drove down to Salisbury to see the cathedral there. Really beautiful place. I have lots of pictures to share. Then after we drove the short bit away to Stonehenge. It was odd, we were just toodlign along and then POOF! Up over a hill and there it is on the side of the road. I was pleased to find that you can get much closer than I'd thought you could, so that made me happy. Lots ...
Bath, United Kingdom txredhead... bus takes me from Stonehenge to Bath, a Georgian city situated very close to the border with Wales. I am fascinated by its cobbled streets, grey stone houses, cute bridges and an interesting cathedral. Most of the time, however, I spend in the Roman Baths, which are so huge that after a few hours I get bored and only think of getting out of here. The Roman Baths are, well, baths used by the Romans, and the water inside is STILL WARM.
