    ... to get the awning up before the heaviest rain and were able to work underneath it. The ground was rock solid because of the dryness - up until we arrived. Hard ground pegs didn't work, so we were back to old technology - hammer and tent pegs. Couldn't get my wifi dongle to work - no 3G coverage here. And phone coverage is weak and intermittent.     ... dinner at 6pm. Walked thru the Gothic Quarter and made our way to La Rambla. Left turn and wandered thru the throngs - clutching our bags and wallets. Lot of street entertainers, look statue like - cannot not think what they call them, then on to the statute of ???? As it was now 5.30pm we thought it time to flag a cab and go to the village.
