... of a fairy tale! It wasn't until we walked closer to line up to climb it you realise how big it really is. Equip with proper shoes we made our way up the Tower skipping all of the lines and saving euros at the same time!! The steps were steep but manageable and soon enough we made it to level 1 and then on to level 2. The sights were amazing, although there was a lot of people there were so many views to take in. ... cute restaurant near home to call it a night. Drag and drag on....dinner is just around the corner....or maybe the next corner. Whew, we found it and sat and drank water like we were camels and relaxed and then discussed the steps we had taken. We covered 14+ miles in the last 7 hours. Over 22,000 steps. After lunch, we walked to the the Carnavalet, a museum housed in two adjacent mansions that is devoted to the history of Paris and its inhabitants. Although portions of the museum are currently under renovation, we were able to spend about an hour looking at paintings, period furnishings, and even some relics dating back to Gallo-Roman times.
