Another gloriously sunny day in central France that we started out with a different kind of tour, 18 holes of golf at Club de Cheverny ( Our tee time was at 11:00am and the course was wide open so they were able to get us out a bit early.

For those of you wondering, we did not take our clubs. We brought about a dozen golf balls, our golf shoes and gloves, and a few tee's. So now the stage has been set ...

Bit of a sleep in
Missed breakfast but did get cuppa & toast

Immense walled park -bigger than centre of Paris

... plenty of color through out the gardens. Rosemary, honeysuckle, roses and many other flowers filled the gardens with a subtle fragrance. While taking pictures in the garden we chatted with another couple from Bellingham WA. This is the third or fourth couple we have chatted with from Washington State.

... checked out the town and the chateau. We also found the place where Leondardo Da Vinci had lived for a while, but it was unimpressive. The next leg wound thru farmlands, vineyards and gorgeous villages. No sooner had we left one village, than we were heading into the next. We had lunch beside the river, just as it started to rain.
