... 2400 years ago, in Hippocrates' time, its said to be the largest plane tree in Europe, it has been hollowed out over the years and some branches are supported by metal scaffolding. It's amazing to look at as you can see from the photos. We were very pleased with our guide so we took him for a beer, very well deserved. There was so much more to see but we couldn't miss the ferry back, it was a wonderful day well worth every penny or even every Euro....After another ...

In essence, it's very pretty from a distance but not great to walk on. So we turned back for our little pier and found a water sports pavilion from where we hired a jet ski. ... my hotels along the front. In Yalikavak there are a huge amount of different sized boats called Gulets as you can see from the photos. These go out every day on the height of the season and quite a few go out now. They take people around to the bays to swim and see the views from the sea, give them lunch, have a bar but one thing they don't do which is crazy, they don't sail....... They motor everywhere which is such a shame to see. The Gulets all seem to be different ...

... and J a Gyros plate (not American style wrapped in pita bread) This island has a "Bar street" where no cars can enter and you can bar hop all night long. We arrive at the streets entrance and are practically man handled by all of the bar hosts. Alright...fine...we'll play along. Like every other dumb American, I'm sure, we stop at the first bar B1G1 deal with a free shot! Totally got bamboozled into getting 4 drinks, paid for 2...all we really wanted was two ...
