... turnaround from the day! Bodrum was a beautiful spot, and in the height of summer would be even better with more people and all the activities open including Rafting, Diving and a range of local tours.

We stayed at Bodrum Backpackers for about 9.00 each. Nothing special but we are well used to it now. The owners were very laid back - the hostel had wifi, a bar and was very close to town..so had everything we needed!

... and waited for the boat. Then we waited some more, and some more. By the time the boat was an hour late we had an announcement, only some of which we could hear but the gist was that there would be no boat today at all. So we queued to go back through customs and tried to figure out what to do next.

... the radio? Of course-Elvis Christmas. So we giggled and sang along to the fun songs as they came in. Tom was hungry, so we decided to stop at the next town to get something to eat. We expected the town to be big. So imagine the laughter in the car when we went through it in about 1 minute. We ended up having to stop at some whole in the wall place next to a gas station.

We flew to Istanbul where we spent the night at the Londra Hotel. This is a funky old hotel in a good location. We walked down to the water and had nice dinner. We got up early the next day and headed to the airport where we met up with our friends Elizabeth and Tom.
