The Grand Drive Around

After our excitable photo-op around the Flintstones Theme Park we jump in our car and high-tail it to the Grand Canyon. We get there in the blazing sunshine...a nice contrast to the storm last night, pay our car fee and make our way to the Visitors Centre. A perky Park Guide tells us what we can get done in the few hours we have here...very little...but it's still the Grand Canyon (#1 Wonders ...

... our first few days in the US. A few things we have learnt.....
1) The smallest car I've seen is a VW Beetle - most cars are pick up trucks and absolutely massive.
2) Food portions tend to be huge unless politely requested otherwise.
3)The roads are much wider and with more lanes than the UK- 7 lanes holds the record so far.
4) In conclusion, everything is bigger!

Happy Easter and remember the clocks!!

... Hemet is only 30 minutes away from Redlands, (I had spoke to my Aliso Viejo family when there about how I had 8 days after camps and they said I should go back there as I didn't get to do much because of my feet - Hemet is the nearest host to them as well, and these were my two favourite families so I thought I would visit them again). We then phoned Jane and asked did she want to come for lunch with us so we met up with her and went to this Mongolian restaurant ...
