... terrible here the drivers have been courteous considering how much time they spend in traffic; we are not made for highly congested areas, didn't realize there were so many mountains around; you never know what city you are in as it is like Phoenix where there are no indications of a city change and their campaign of share the road with motorcycles only works one way as Motorcycles don't wait behind the cars.

Elwood and I kick about at the hotel whilst Noah does sensible things like: get fuel and check the oil, water and tyres. We saw enough desert on yesterday's journey to know that we are not going to mess with the desert.
We drive through Yucca Valley, Joshua Tree and Twenty Nine Palms and arrive in Joshua Tree National Park ...
