... because I could not use a flash, except when I was sure no one was looking). This was the first astounding example of German Romanesque architecture (with touches of Gothic design) we are going to see. This Cathedral was completed during the late 12th century, with a few additions during the following two centuries. It is magnificent, and my photos do not do it justice in the slightest. The vaulted ceilings peak at over 120 feet, and much of the stonework is ...
Worms, Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany byron_and_tracyWell...this time honestly I didn´t have time to make travel list or structure my backpack. After finishing my PhD graduation there was time onyl to celebrations and party (since the last months I rarely had much time).
Heidelberg is ...
... to me, switching to English when she figured my smile and nodding for what it was, said she'd lived there for 50 years but loved that magical moments like that still came around.
I left the magical moment up top and ventured to a drearier place, the Studeten Karzen. To boil it down, students who acted up were locked away in five upper rooms with no kitchen or running water for a few weeks. Looks as ...
Well we didn't really spend much time in Frankenthal. It was really just a stopover since we arrived a day early for my mum to arrive in Frankfurt.
We got to Frankfurt and found a call shop to help us find a hostel/hotel for a good price. Unfortunately there weren’t any in Frankfurt so we made our way to Frankenthal about 30 minutes outside of Frankfurt. One piece of advice…when parking in paid parking areas make sure you pay! Haha…we ...
... to be for 2 nights. And let me take a moment to say how HAPPY I am that we're only staying 2 nights- our grocery-store-cum-hostel parking lot apparently shares space with a newly opened thumpin' nightclub. Which closes at 7am. So color me a bit tired today. (on the bright side, we apparently found ONE Heidelberg nightspot. Just didn't want it under my bedroom window)
So Robb Alvey is a bad influence ...

Mannheim, Baden-Württemberg, Germany rush0517... br>It all began in Wurzburg, the first stop on the Romantic Road. We spent one night there, and toured the town, which was far more modern than I'd expected. We drove the next day to Rothenburg ob der Tauber, which is possibly the most perfectly preserved medieval town in Germany. Really, it's stunning. The entire town is half-timbered buildings. The only problem with it is that it's much like Venice; the entire town exists for tourists, and there's not much real life going on ...
Heidelberg, Baden-Württemberg, Germany sql_spice... back to 'spanish power' lol. apparentlz i should learn spanish, but heäs yet to convince me.
early the next morning we started work on the case study. it's for Fitz-Ritter wine estates. we have to work out a marketing strategy for the winery. they have unique high qualitz german wine, and itäs interesting to learn about. they've got a product line they're rolling out, a sparkling wine with passionfruit in it, and this oneäs aimed at zounger people. it's good ...
... it but the mood wasn't much there. I got to eat a slice of pizza at the station and tried to contact my host. I finally slept a bit on a bench at the station until Ulrike called me and said she could come get me some hours later. Finally, I arrived at her place pretty late, having a snack and discussing a little before getting to sleep. I won't have had the chance to talk much but it was a good bed for the night.
Walldorf, Germany maplefanta... don't effing think so. Despite the fact that the old saying goes (by others, not me) that there are a billion Indians in India and a billion everywhere else, I didn't see any in my little corner of Germany. And likewise noticed absolutely no display of the Hindu religion. That sucks too because I was craving some chicken vindaloo. Christian [catholic varietal]: Martin Luther was one powerful man. And how! Christian [protestant varietal]: Churches are about the only sign of ...
