      Santorini lives up to the hype

      ... could. Yes, it plays up to the tourists - but this really is a case of "if you've got it, flaunt it"! Around every corner was another picture postcard view plus there are lots of galleries and artisan shops to visit and cafes from which to enjoy the wonderful views.

      The shops display prices here which are numerically similar to those in Turkey - the only problem is that the euro is worth about 3 Turkish Lira - so we had to keep lid on the shopping ...

      ... lying on the beach, and swimming, then decided we had had enough and went back to bar for drink and nibbles. Had funny moment when we ordered more pita bread with our dip and got Greek mezza. Which was a bit of cheese, cucumber lettuce and a lot of pickled fish... Not too bad. Walked the shops, bought some more ****, then back on bus to hotel for our last relax and swims. Bickets took off on own ...

      ... better?! After a relaxing/lazy afternoon on our balcony we finally dragged ourselves out for some dinner. To be honest, we were both having one of those 'I can't be bothered with dinner' nights, where had we been home it would have been cheese toasties and cornflakes for dinner!       ... We walked into the town centre and spent some time exploring. We went to the end of the town and found a great view point.
