Yesterday we left Julie at the apartment and mum dad and I set out toward Central Park. We walked to Grand Central Station to grab a bite to eat before heading on to the park. We walked down stopping in a couple of shops along the way. We went to Guess, FAO Schwarz and then Central Park. ... it was blowing an absolute gail and it was freezing (without my beanie and jacket that is). Now it was time to make my way down to One World Trade Center and the 9/11 Memorial. Way too far to even contemplate walking, I headed to the nearest Hop On / Hop Off bus stop, which was next to Rockefeller Center. After just a short wait I was on my way down town. ... it did not tell me which stop I was looking at, so my Funtinerary became quite useful despite it mostly being just

I tried to leave wiggle room in our itinerary for some spontaneity and also so that we could rest if we were feeling jet lagged. This turned out to be a good thing - more on that later.

Anyway, now that we were planned and booked and Funtineraries made - we were off!

... but a darn sight cheaper than cabs.

Breakfast at the Plaza was both luxurious and scrumptious. A total oasis of calm, quiet respectful service and the best steak and eggs I have ever eaten.

Rhys persuaded me to visit Victoria Secrets to buy some product (creams and shower gels not clothes). A complete assault on my senses, far too much pink for my tastes. I am just about recovered.
