... name a few, 200+ Nationalities live in Dubai, it has over 611 hotels in the city, the new airport DWC will have capacity of 240mln passengers and Emirates has the highest a380 fleet (83 aircrafts). We also learnt that interpersonal relationship is crucial to do business in the UAE and only after several meeting of "hello and hi", you can talk business.
My biggest take from this city ...
Having explored the town on Tuesday afternoon we decided to have a lazy day around the pool today, have a few beers and soak up some of the afternoon sun. We met some girls from Lucerne that gave us a few tips for France before having a feed, some Swiss ice cream and settling in for our last night in Switzerland. 12 days has gone very fast but has been action packed and a time I'll never forget. ... up at the Yacht Club Como and enjoyed a great lunch on the balcony before spending a slow afternoon walking around town. But while eating lunch we discovered that the local paper had covered my arrival!
We even managed to find a local cinema, but clearly, with scenery like this.... Movies aren't at the top of the priority list....
From our hotel room, we can see Isola Bella, Isola dei Pescatori and Isola Madre, the three most visited (and the three we visit today) of the several islands in Lake Maggiore. Of the three, two belong to the Borromeos family-the 'Isles Borromes' for which our hotel is named-in French as was the fashion in 1863 when the hotel was founded. Island hopping can't get any easier; one buys a ticket for a launch that runs in a continuous loop-the three islands ...
