... some soccer fans (singing in our pub before they moved on, having a great time) and then we moved down the street for lunch. Closer to the boat we found a great restaurant and we sat inside although I think the locals were staying outside - it was still a little cloudy and cool for us - we had a fabulous leek soup and potato roll with mushrooms and onions - just delicious. Beautiful morning as we left Andernach and cruised towards Cologne. The river traffic is noticeably heavier and bigger, with many more River Ships (barges), but the scenery along the river is beautiful.

The Romans established a settlement at this location on the Rhine about 2000 years ago and it has has continuous settlement ever ...

We agreed if the wheel was less than €10 each we'd give it a whirl, to our luck it was only €7 :-) After a beer for courage we queued up and went for a spin, we were begging to get off after the third time round but Lucy had managed to go from nervous wreck to hysterical laughter during the spin. The first ...

    Guten abend,

It's 31 degrees here at 9pm. So you could say it's rather warm. Had a couple of insane thunderstorms in the past nights, with more forecasted. Cool. Apparently it's not usually this warm in these parts. I ain't complaining that it's more than twice the temperature in Auckland.

So aside from adjusting to my new life here nothing too exciting has happened.

    Stuff that I've been ...
