The great weekend

Usually on Sundays the family goes to church then heads over to the grandparents apartment in Borgo for lunch, where all the aunts, uncles and cousins come too. But the dad, Caesar (pronounced Chezz-ah-ray)(how ...

... 7 lakes in the region!

If anyone is planning a trip to Stresa I highly recommend eating at Pappagallo's restaurant. They had the best atmosphere (singing waiters no less!), best wood oven pizza and most important the best desserts! Need to add some photos to this one to give you the full picture!

We set off today, making our way towards France. Our plan is to get to Geneva for one night, travel on to Clemont Ferrand in France and finally reach St Avit de Soulage on Saturday.
As we are with 30 km of a spectacular view of the Matterhorn we make a slight diversion to take in this iconic mountain.
Halfway to our destination and up a winding, uphill road, the temperature guage starts to ...

There was an instant connection between us, young guys, had travelled to the other side of the world, we shared many similarities. We arrived back in Switzerland and Lake Lugano around 5:20. We have a lovely room with a view of the lake. The Internet isn’t free here in the room (10 Swiss Franc for 24 hours), so I am going to attempt to use the public computer and upload this.

There is someone waiting for the public computer, so pictures will have to wait.

Northern Italy

On May 25 we flew from Cagliari in Sardinia to Milan in the northern part of Italy where we planned to spend two nights. We flew to Milan because it was the only way we could ultimately get to Greece from Sardinia. When we arrived in Milan, it was a record 95 degrees HOT HOT HOT. Fortunately, we had already decided to rent a car and drive 40 miles north of Milan to Lake Maggiore which is in the much cooler Italian Alps.
