Up early (well Phil was) to take Tess to the dog groomer. He came back with 2 lovely croissants plus custard fancies for lunch and the usual bread. For the first time we met an American walker today - Scott from Boston! There are not many walkers visible along the route, but we have met some Canadians, Irish, Swiss, Dutch, ...

Had a quiet day today. Headed down the canal to le Mas-d'Agenais. Just three locks to negotiate. Wandered around the village looking for the Romanesque church of St-Vincent. This church has an original painting of Rembrant. Hard to see in the dim light of the church - it was of the crucifixion of Christ. After lunch headed back to Damazan. Tied up for the night along the canal bank and cooked our own dinner. Went for a ride along the canal for some ...
