Today was the first planned walk on a Wednesday and I was joined by 4 new faces, Heather, Elaine, Andy and Major.

4th days walk section
... where there are 21 locks in a 2 mile stretch wih a 215ft. We had to fix our crampons and ice axes to cover this section. We didn't find a coffe shop but managed to find a pleasant pub for a shandy and filter coffee. Todays walk ended with the fog starting to fall and we were pleased to get another 10 miles ticked off the total. ...
Highlands and St Helens
... to the hostel. Unfortunately an oncoming car made her panic and we stalled half way across the road and she refused to go any further. The weird thing is that she can reverse like a pro but for some reason either under revs and bunny hops or over revs scaring the birds when going forward.
