Well Waikiki is a bit different to Kauai. Lots of glitzy lights and souveniers. Reminds us of the Gold Coast in Queensland.
Out hotel was terrific, and we had a room on the 5th floor with a balcony overlooking the beach. We just walked everywhere or caught public buses for most of the time.
One day we did do a guided round the island tour …

One night in Waikiki

We had just one night in Waikiki on our way back to Australia from Alaska. We took the Roberts Shuttle from the airport to Waikiki, which we'd done a few times before. However, as we only had a very limited time to get dinner and a few Mai-Tais and Lava Flows etc, it was frustrating how long the trip took as the bus stopped at all the hotels along …

... Then we got bored, as we couldn't properly see the series because of the crowd, so we packed up and went home.

Camping was also apart of this months adventure. We heard about this planned event up on North Shore, camping event. We hear some dozen of students we camping up north so we decided to rent a huge-ass SVU and make a trip out of it. Before the camping we went to cheer for our football team - Shabby was all fit for fight :) . Our team got bored and decided to ...

... stopped at one of the bars on the way back from supper and thoroughly enjoyed the show. We sat out this set, even though I am classically trained.

Debby was feeling better by supper time so we dined early and then took in a movie at the onboard theater where they show relatively new movies and deliver fresh popcorn right to your seat. Now that’s service.

Stay tuned

    Disgusting!

    from anonymous

My husband and I stayed at the Aston Waikiki Circle Hotel last October for our early 30th anniversary and I have never stayed in a more disgusting place! The walls in the room were cracked and looked like they hadn't been painted for 10 years; there were dark stains all over the carpeting; and I have never slept in a bed which did not have a fitted sheet on the mattress (a regular flat mattress was used and, of course, by morning, there was no sheet left on the bed!).We had to wait quite a whilke to check in, even though the person at the head desk did not appear to be busy. The rates were cheap but, in our opinion, reasonable cost does not make up for pleasant stay.

    Great family trip!!!!

    from anonymous

I and my 3 teenage daughters stayed here last summer. It was their first trip to Hawaii. I couldn't have chosen a better place for them to experience Waikiki. The hotel is located in the center of everything Waikiki. The restaurants and gift shops nearby gave them the touristy things they needed and the oceanfront view of this hotel gave them the awesome postcard views of Hawaii. The rooms aren't big, but we didn't spend alot of time in the rooms. They are clean and the staff were great. The best part of the room was the sunset views from the balcony. I strongly suggest the oceanfront room...

    Bad experience

    from anonymous

I agree with other viewers that the location of this hotel is very good. But you can have better deal at other hotels with excellent locations also. The shower room and the closet are tiny and smelly. There is no door for the shower room, only a very thin cotton curtain. When you take a shower, water spill all over the bathroom. This hotel is so old inside. Bad service.

    Best Value/View/Location

    from anonymous

Incredible view/location. Small room/bathroom. Friendly staff. A few steps to beach. Safe/Clean. Affordable. We definately reccomend this cute, comfortable hotel. We booked it because of its amazing VIEW and location. Rooms are being updated.

    Bad Hotel

    from anonymous

The only good thing about this hotel is its location: right in the center of Waikiki beach. Unfortunately, there are many bad things. The female front desk receptionist never smiles. The door to open to the balcony is extremely hard to pull. The curtain for the door is torn badly and dirty. The closet is tiny, old and dirty. The rest room and the shower room is extremely tiny. They got only few irons. So you have to wait for your turn to use the iron. I think Aston Waikiki circle should be classified as standard motel. There are many good hotels around Aston Waikiki Circle and on Waikiki beach. I would never stay at Waikiki Circle again.

    Loved the Waikiki Circle Hotel

    from anonymous

We just returned from Waikiki and stayed at the Waikiki Circle Hotel for 10 nights. The location across from Waikiki Beach is unbeatable for the price, and an easy walk to everywhere. Rooms are being upgraded according to John at the front desk who was extremely helpful and as nice as anyone could possibly be to us. We were in #505, ocean-front, in the middle of the circle building. We were delighted to sit on the lanai and watch the music performances on the beach, people strolling by, surfers riding the waves, the hula-show presented by the City, etc. The hotel needs some new carpeting, drapes, and paint but it was clean and staff was super. And you simply cannot beat the wonderful 180 degree ocean views and terrific Waikiki location at twice the price.

    Not Great

    from anonymous

I was never so disappointed in my life when we arrived at this Hotel.. As soon as the door opened I was ready to go home. Twin Beds? NO air conditioning in Hawaii ? The carpet was so wet and loose it rolled . Not enough room inside, AND we paid for an upgrade. I can only wonder what the other place looked like. Needless to say we moved to the Waikiki Beach Hotel... VERY nice... much better to start our vacation in comfort and clean, cool. Nice. The Hotel clerks at the Waikiki Circle were very rude........... Just do yourself a favor.. don't go to the Waikiki Circle Hotel.. Maybe they will quit being greedy and fix up,,, new face lift is the only way I ever go back to this place, because the location is the ONLY thing they have going for them. In it's day it probably was nice, but that day is definately long gone...

    Happy time

    from anonymous

I stayed at the last Februay for 6 nites, and ejoyed every moment of the stay... the room was clean and the desk clerk very helpful and friendly... I felt safe and sound all the time, I travel alone and a senior citizen. Betty Jean Rounds

    A Wonderful Little Hotel!

    from anonymous

This little hotel was one of the most terrific places I have ever stayed, and I've been all over. The Aston Waikiki Circle is a budget hotel...but the best bargain in Hawaii! From most of the balconies of the rooms you can see both the mountains and the surfers on Waikiki Beach. It's right in the center of town and within very easy walking distance to restaurants and fun attractions. It's also built in the shape of a circle and just plain FUN! There is no hotel I'd recommend more than this one, anyplace, anywhere, any time or anyhow. If you have a chance to stay at this great little place, by all means go for it!

Good clean accommodation at a good price.

    from anonymous

My third time to Hawaii. This time on my own.

I felt very safe in this hotel and surrounding area.

The views from the 13th floor ocean- front deluxe rooms are to die for, and, you can sit on the balcony, and ,listen to the free music show below at dusk.

Don't hesitate to try this hotel.

    Regards Kate.
