Hello again. Just about to leave Jakarta this evening so i thought that i would let you know what we got up whilst we were here.<br><br>To be honest we havent found that there is a great deal to do in Jakart. Seems more like a city for people to live and work, and not much in the way for tourists. I could be wrong though and have missed a cracking city to be in. First day we walked around the freedom square in the middle of the city. Is a huge park ...

Bogor, Java, Indonesia 110319774... much I love Philly trash and how happy I will be to get back to them. On the ride back we saw a camel and Deborah almost **** her pants. She pooed along side the road and didn't even wipe. We got back and went to get duck but the restaurant doesn't serve duck until 5:30 and it was only 3. The girl spoke some English which was nice. I saw my car like 10 times today. Later I found this written in my ...
Jakarta, Java, Indonesia rreit129... the afternoon we wandered over to the Gambir train station, which was only about a 15 or 20 minute walk from Hotel Tator. After speaking with somebody at the Information booth (in English), we found out that prices for train tickets to Yogyakarta were much higher than they regularity were, due to the vacation season. The only trains that left the Gambir station were Argo class, a class of ticket above the executive level first-class tickets, and they were going ...
Jakarta, Java, Indonesia aaronpolarbear... more failed attempts, I finally booked my ticket. Helen and Danni left that night for Jakarta on the bus, an adventure I realized I wanted no part of. I have to hand it to those girls ... at 19 and 24 respectively, they were willing to take on travel challenges that made me cower. Anyway, we made tentative plans to meet in Jakarta the next day, but in a city of 9 million people, I held slim hope of actually meeting up. I ...
Jakarta, Java, Indonesia jaeleli... sorry for the people that had given me directions, showed me rooms (except for super*****) or served me food. My face was black. Diesel fume black. I try not to think of the state of my lungs which had been working overtime today to haul me all that way before dark. I showered, curled up on my bed and drifted off to sleep with some Wednesday 13 on my ipod. I go downstairs for breakfast this morning and order a set breakfast with a pot of coffee. They only give me one sachet of ...
Jakarta, Indonesia goldenbez... called Ubud. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ubud http://images.google.co.id/images?hl=id &q=Ubud+Indonesia&gbv=2 http://www.tripadvisor.com/Tourism-g297 701-Ubud_Bali-Vacations.html It's sort of an artists colony and in the middle of the island. I'm planning to see the Monkey Forest, and take in a Gamalan show, and who knows what else. I'll stay there a couple of days then head to a beach town, haven't decided which one yet.
Jakarta, Indonesia mettetimmermans... Hi! Hi!" they chirped, and took off into the rice paddies, stopping every few steps to wave again and practice their new word. When the little one stopped to shout "Hi!" for the umpteenth time, the older brother gave him a shove in the head and blew me a kiss. Ah, boys will be boys. And brothers will be brothers. I'd seen him shove his little brother before, but he seems unfazed by it; such treatment goes with the territory of any little brother, no ...
Bukit Lawang, Indonesia wendyworld... two nights here. Yogy has some cool day-trips around the city that I've been looking forward to...and then on to Mt. Bromo and Bali. :-) <br><br>My choices of transportation included a 1-hour plane ride for $23USD or a 9-hour bus ride for $25USD. Which do you think I chose? <br><br>See ya in Yogy. <br><br>P.S. - The 'backs are in the SEC Championship tonight - SOOOOOOOOIE!
