Day Cruise: Poros
... sun deck, then arrived to the island of Poros. Poros has a very nice port with lots of picturesque homes, but it was kinda hard to explore the island due to the time constrain. We had 45 minutes on this island and then it was time to go! Had enough time to take some pictures and get a flavor of the town. Poros /Epidavarus.
... very famous Epidavros amphitheater, situation high in the hills 25 minutes from Poros. So we caught a little ferry (loos like little toot) across to the other side of the island, and then a taxi to Epidavros. The drive took us through some of the most breathtaking country we had seen to date. Brian and Di didn't come because they had to meet the marina lady at 6 to do the paperwork. Excitement Plus
We had a very exciting trip today, so this could end up in 2 bloggs.
A couple of little things i missed out last night were:
When we berthed, the people on the boat next to us, Noticed our Aussie flag. There was a mother and a little boy on deck, and when the mother said to the boy that we were from Australia, immediately and without hesitation all he said was "sharks".
In the afternoon we had a great look around the town, ...
Just when you thought it was safe......

Going back to the ship and then watching from the balcony we noticed an invasion of jelly fish - hundreds of them. Barbara through a wobble at the sight!!
So we sail off into the sunset and prepare for another evening of fine dining and a spell in the casino. I actually came out with money money money - not sure how but the machine kept paying out so come what may I was not going to ...
Vartholomio
Yesterday I got to Vartholomio. Thia Maria and Zoe were waiting at the bus stop at Gastouni for Papou and I. Upon arriving, we went past the shops that they have there. Zoe owns a sweet shop right next door to Dionisi's mini market. Across the road, Thia Maria and Thio Yianni work in the newsagent shop. Zoe took us to the house were we had some lunch. Thio Yianni cracks me up - he always says things like "soooopppa" ...
