Well. Datca is very lively. Music in the club went on very late (no watch but well past 1 in the morning. The place is going to become as trendy as Fiskardho in the Ionian. We ate a delicious meal on the beach with the water lapping a few feet away. The wind got up during the night and there is now quite a lot of noise from the assorted rigging around us. ... and quite pretty. We went for a swim in the sea at a well developed beach before walking back to the ship. Gambling that night - both 16 (Richard's birthday) and 23 (4 ways lucky) showed up on the roulette wheel during my 15 minutes of playing so I left the table after doubling my money with $117. Tonight, they are giving us 40:1 odds on one bet for the day - June 23!!! One of my favourite numbers!!

A stroll through town, and down to the beach a filling Greek salad and Moussaka for lunch and we were ready for a Greek siesta! Only an hour and a half away from Akyaka, so perfect for a day trip. As Zeki couldn't start work yet because he will do the second half of his Anatolia trip, it was a perfect opportunity for some trips. On the way there, some soldiers stopped the bus to check everyone's ID. It was the first time that a Turkish soldier had checked my ID so I was terrified, but they let me pass!
