The month long festival of Shiva is currently being celebrated in Haradiwar so there are many pilgrims dressed in orange travelling Dehradun. They also receive prayer blessings in Haradiwar at the Ganges canal at dusk. There are also many pilgrims on the road north to Badrinath and the three other main worships places. All at the source of the four main rivers.

... Ram Jula. These are two suspension bridges with importance to Hindu mythology. We only had time to walk on Laskhman Jula, but we did see Ram Jula. Once on the bridge, the wind made it a bit shaky, it the views were extraordinary. There were mandir on the opposite side of the bridge and the river underneath seemed very serene. There was even a group rafting on the river, maybe next time we'll try that.
We arrive back to the train station to go to Delhi for the night.

Next to our hotel is the Ramana Garden Café that helps support an orphanage and children's school. Sixty orphans stay in dorms at the school and about the same number of local children attend the school. See And it is an IRS approved 501(c)(3) charity ...

Still I persevered as this is apparently the yoga capital of the world, if I was going to do it anywhere in India it should be here.
