One of the reasons for this trip was to visit the Water Resources Institute of Jiangxi. A delegation came to visit the Toowoomba campus earlier this year, on the basis of trying to find a partner institute in Australia to work with. Flew out of Chengdu this morning, and arrived in Nanchang. At least here there is a bit of blue sky, although the smog is still incredibly thick - the Chinese refer to it as haze, rather than smog!!!
