A very lovely hotel with a very spacious room and stunning views of the mountains surrounding Takayama. However the restaurants here very expensive.

We arrived in Kanzawa to find a much larger centre than Takayama. Much to my delight the shopping appears to be even better here. We could help smiling at how welcome and how wonderfully the Japanese have treated us. We find everyone very kind, friendly and willing to stop and help us! Love it here! Back at our Takayama home base we indulged in a foot massage (how can you say no when there is a spa in your hotel?) and then headed for ...
