For the past 3 days, Jon has been completing his PADI diving course in Patong. It's something he's always wanted to do and it's so much cheaper in Thailand so he decided to enrol. This however, meant I've had 3 full days in Patong to explore by myself. While at first a little daunting, being on my own for a few days was really refreshing. To be honest, I didn't do much. But that's the ...

The boys went jet skiing on the beach in the afternoon and Pete and I following advice from those in the know made sure we took photos of the jet skis as we were doing the deal. Apparently they occasionally trap unknowing people into paying for damage that was already there if you're not on the ball. Strangely enough when we ...

      Patong Beach

Finally at Patong Beach, you can walk for two hours or rent thousands of chairs and sun umbrellas. The water is warm and many restaurants and street vendors offer drinks and food.

Surprisingly at the beach, you hear Russian, Korean and Chinese language. The restaurant menus are in English, Russian and Thai. Some of the Thai people speak very good English but most of them know ...
