      ... favourite shows I have been watching is Alaska Railroad and Mary and her husband still feature on the show and are now in their 80s. Even better was when we passed their house, Mary was standing at the door waving to the train. I bought both her books she has written, describing her life starting out as a homesteader and how the seasons change in the region.

      ... We are booked to do an 8 hour wilderness tour today beginning about 7am. Our bus driver/guide is Marsha who is passionate about the Alaskan wilderness and wildlife. So we travel into the wilderness part of Denali National Park stopping to see the odd moose, caribou, grizzly bear and cubs. The school is connected to the apartment building via a tunnel so the children can go to school protected from the elements. The tunnel to exit the town built by an army corp, shared with train, 2.5 miles long and takes 7 minutes to travel, travelling at 25 mile per hour. the second longest tunnel in USA.       ... facials that he really welcomed! Shame! We just had to hold him in over the rapids as we couldn't really stop. The next day we were up at 6:30am for a bus trip 60 miles into the park. The trips get booked up quite quickly. No one is allowed to drive after a certain point, so the only way you can get around is with the busses that run very regularly.
