... that there are opportunities to mingle with the athletes themselves. On our bus back to the village at the end of the day was the bronze medallist, Steve Nyman from the USA. Just sitting on the seat next to us as we travelled down. He was more than happy to have his photo taken and he was on a real high after his success today.

A thrilling start to our World Cup in Beaver Creek - Super G tomorrow, can't wait!

... of very nice and expensive restaurants but not too many casual eating establishments. The Coyote Cafe is a stones throw from the Centennial lift at the base of the mountain. Mexican/burger standards along with an impressive array of beers. The service is quick and efficient. In the background you see a continuous reel of videos of extreme skiing. We stopped at Bair Ranch Rest Stop for some morning tea. The air was fresh and crisp and the scenery truly was amazing. The river slowly meandered by and believe me the water was very cold. After two huge days on the hill it was good to have a quiet evening. A couple of delightful Californian Pinot Noirs in front of the fire was a lovely way to finish one of the most exciting weekends we have experienced. To think we do it all again with the men next weekend in Beaver Creek! Bring it On!!
