... chips, as the salsa tasted very fresh. I had a house margarita and the enchiladas frescos with shredded beef. These are tortillas dipped in salsa and rolled around the filling and served with lettuce, crema and sauce. These enchiladas are a bit lighter in style than a traditional cheesy enchilada. After dinner I walked around town checking out the shops.

Day 7 & 8

Our first shopping day yay!!! Today we decided to hire a car and check out the outlets, Rick's Restorations and Vegas in general. We managed to purchase all of our ski gear and lots of other bargains, even Billy went a little cray cray in Tommy Hilfiger lol!! After a big day of shopping we headed back to the motel to pack our bags for our flight to Aspen in the morning.

... and spills galore as the skiers tackled the very fast and demanding tight turning course.

What a weekend! The end of our time watching the Workd Cup skiers and we were certainly not disappointed. To travel half way around the world was worth it. An experience we will never forget and certainly aim to do again.

... they all stood up and were able to ski down the course uninjured. Given the g forces that they absorb when flying down the course I am amazed that they can even stand up!

That afternoon/evening we strolled around Beaver Creek Village and enjoyed the festivities. It was a real party feeling. Champagne tastings from Korbel (California) which we wholeheartedly enjoyed several of. Dinner at the Blue Moose Pizza - Colorado ...

... 9am and took Dipsy Doodle, Spar Gulch to Upper Little Nell. We then back up the gondola and skied down a different way and ended up at the bottom of the Shadow Mountain lift. We took Shadow Mountain up and then took the Ruthie’s lift and then skied down Ruthie’s.

For lunch we had lunch up at the Sun Deck on top of the mountain. I had wanted to eat outside, but the wind had kicked up and we decided to eat inside instead. We got there early ...
