After lunch we wandered around town for a while and then got back in the car. About 40 minutes later we pulled into a little dirt driveway with a sign pointing towards hot springs. Eric announced that we had a cabin rented for the night and we are staying here. This place is awesome. There are a few antique barns and 15 cabins and a hot springs area with 4 pools on ...

... gridiron match was taking place between the Denver Broncos and San Diego. Denver won, to many cheers from us as well as the locals as they pulled themselves up from a 3 vs 24 score to overtake and beat the San Diego team.

All too soon it was all over. We have to finish our packing as we are leaving early in the morning. They have forecast another nice day tomorrow, so we are going to take the Independence Pass route all going ...

... the sight we saw as we passed the Aspen Hospital on our way to Ashcroft and beyond. It was breathtaking! Just a couple of kilometres out of Aspen, we were faced with this unbelievable vista. Wherever we came across a 'turnout' in the road, we would stop and take photos of the snow – the aspens in the snow, the pine trees in the snow, the babbling brook, the snow, more snow….
