We woke up and decided to drive to the other side of Lake Geneva. We planned on visiting Gruyere (Yes, home of the cheese) and Broc, which is home to Callier chocolate factory. After that we would drive through Montreux and visit the Chateau de Chillon. If we have time afterwards, we are going to rent a boat and explore the lake near Geneva.

... something for Day 3 - the marathon stage. The Col des Saisies as a first climb of 13kms was not at all taxing, followed by a beautiful descent down to the village of Flumet.

Then things got serious with the Cormet de Roselend reaching 1967m over a 20km climb and the finish line in Val d'Isère iat 1840m, again after a climb of about 22km. I stayed ahead of the cut off time by about 15-30 minutes at each aid ...
