Of course as we knew this was our last day in Europe. Without hesitation for me this was the best day overall. It literally flew by in the blink of an eye. We woke up and headed the French Alps. Still I am surprised how we just drive in and out of countries without hesitation.  Ariving at The Alps we got together, and got our tickets and headed to the cable cars. Today I woke up and was really happy to know it was our last day in Europe. I really loved my trip, but I am ready to go home at this point.

We rang the Citroen Rep in Geneva (Mr Ivanov) to arrange being picked up from the airport. Surprisingly, he was at the airport when he said he would be, at the place we were told to wait. We assumed that the directions would have been lost in translation (as they often are). So, after a 10min wait in the freezing ...

... something for Day 3 - the marathon stage. The Col des Saisies as a first climb of 13kms was not at all taxing, followed by a beautiful descent down to the village of Flumet.

Then things got serious with the Cormet de Roselend reaching 1967m over a 20km climb and the finish line in Val d'Isère iat 1840m, again after a climb of about 22km. I stayed ahead of the cut off time by about 15-30 minutes at each aid ...
