... cars the whole time we were driving until we got back near the city.

The beach towns are totally deserted. All the hotels and cafés are shut up and no-one is around.
There are so many big apartments that have been started and just left unfinished due to the economic crisis. The beaches are lovely, but it wasn't a swimming afternoon. We had a game of Bolle with these completely round balls we found on the beach made out of some natural ...

Another benefit of travel.

Last night on the bus trip back from the hora I talk with a South African man who is here from Capetown with his family. There may be a lot of Australians at Mykonos, but there are quite a lot of South Africans too. He had just come back from Paradise beach and tells me I should go there, cause there is no other other place quite like it. So this morning after breakfast we catch the water taxi to Paradise beach and we get there some time after 11am ...

    Easter in Naxos

Given today is the Orthodox Easter Sunday we took the advise of the apartment owner, and caught the local bus out to one of the villages yesterday called Filoti which is landlocked. For 2 euro it was a bargain, took about 45 mins, really had no idea where to go, so we just wandered around. Sat for while and people watched, all the local people were obviously busy in preparation for Easter, so it was great to be a part of. The buses ...
