... for dinner. We met at our hotel, and walked the short distance to the pizzeria. Me and Robin ordered pasta, and the three others went for pizza. It was all so lovely, I had creamy pasta with vegetables, which I loaded with chilli flakes. We went back to our hotel together where the owners put on a film for us. We started watching a film called nightgale - it was very weird, one black mans monologue, and his descent into madness. ...

If you're ever I'm Sri Lanka though, the chances of seeing blue whales is high so I would say go for it! I met a local tuk tuk driver who was super nice and he took me on a tour one day. ... in the sea, playing in the waves once again - I was like a big kid!

In the evening, we watched the Asia Cup final between Sri Lanka and Pakistan in the beach bar, with the excitable bar staff. Having a few beers with them, as Sri Lanka restricted Pakistan to 260, largely due to a five wicket haul from Lasith Malinga. It could have been even fewer runs, but for a late onslaught from Fawad Alam, Misbah Ul-Haq and ...

    9th December - Hikkaduwa

Arrack attack day. Hangover from hell. Woke up tingling and aching all over and couldn't keep my eyes open. Met the girls at the beach around lunch time but I didn't last long before I was back on the room trying to sleep off this horrendous hangover. Once we manned up we went for an hour long walk along the beach to see ...
