      The weather has been unusually warm and dry since we’ve been back, although it is raining today. The days are reaching the high teens and 10 -12 degrees at night. Tim is still wearing shorts to school, but I’m wearing long pants and sweaters, so I think he’s going for bragging rights.       Definitely a challenging experience to navigate the bureaucracy of Chinese authorities at Guongzho airport. We arrived @ 6.00am with 2 hrs to transfer to our flight to Beijing, we had to transfer from the International section to the domestic side, this required a visa!! Helpful staff then directed us to a boarding gate, staff at that gate redirected us to another (at the other end of the terminal) staff there then sent us on to ...

      give the taxi driver directions. So we called his business colleague
