Tim got up early Saturday morning to do a long run, but came back to bed within minutes. "Are you feeling sick?" I ask. “No, it’s pouring rain and freezing cold outside. I’m not running in that.” Well, it was raining, but freezing cold was 19 degrees – Tim has adjusted to the warmer temps.! He did run 20 ...

... or fall festival as we were told to call it. Believe me, it was Halloween with a capital H! There were in-class parties, decorations and costumes. A couple brought an older sibling to translate but the strangest were some of the Korean mothers who didn't want the translator (who also has a child in my class) to know their business so they brought a friend who understands Chinese and requested a Chinese ...

... had a PD session yesterday morning from 9-12. Now that's something that wouldn't happen home. Unfortunately, the sessions were too short and didn't get much done. Tim and I did a session on the F&P Assessment Kits and I had to race through. Imagine trying to explain how to use the Kit in 20 minutes. Tim has had a cold for 3 weeks, coughing and hacking but not yet "hawking the loogie" on the street as so many of the locals do, and not just the men! It's disgusting! Today he ...
