Slight problems...

Last night I ate dinner with people from the Xu-Bo organization, Julian (the other volunteer) and Marco (the high-school student) where both there too. It was a good dinner with many chinese dishes and an amazing desert, they said it was a coffee cake but it didn't taste like coffee and I really enjoyed it!

By the end of the dinner it was confirmed that today (Wednesday) I would hopefully be on a train back to Shanghai.

Today I was invited to make dumplings at one of my students' houses. I was told to be at the school gate at 11:00am and the girl would pick me up. Alice didn't give me much information about it and that freaked me out a little, but once she explained that they wanted me to have a meal and make some dumplings with them it was all good!

Today was actually extremely interesting! For the first time since last Saturday it was actually warm, a toasty 18°C which I would much rather have then the 8-10°C that we had been experiencing. I had class and it wasn't overly exciting, but I had another girl burst into tears in the middle of my lesson because a boy was being mean to her. She is the third girl that has started crying in one of my classes.

So the last four days have gone by quite fast. Monday was okay, I had a really good class in the morning, ate some rice dish for lunch with Alice and we were later joined by Jack, Bob and Jason who came and sat with us and we had a nice little chat. I then went and had the Chinese 'rest' back at my flat. I went to my afternoon classes, and the first one was a NIGHTMARE! Today I met Alice and 3 of her students at the schools east gate and off we went on this tour of Zhengzhou. I found out that we would be going into town, to the zoo, to eat Henan noodles for lunch, then to the Central Business District (CBD) and finally to the supermarket that has international brands as I kinda wanted cereal for breakfast instead of noodles. Not that I have really eaten noodles for breakfast, I have actually been really healthy and have started eating fruit ...
