GREAT location! Right on the beach. Beautiful for a sunset walk with the gulls. Nice staff, dated rooms. Don't eat at the diner. (Our breakfast there was...meh.) There are better places in town.

After our days in the mountains, it was a real culture shock driving only about an hour and suddenly being surrounded by sea marshes and open sky. Seriously breathtaking! Our room had an amazing ocean view and we couldn't resist taking a brief, cold, walk on the beach before finding one last seafood place for dinner on our last night. Sigh.

Ok, so our start is being delayed a bit..

... we will spend Sat/Sun night but by Monday we will have the Bus back to Campers Inn, to get her washed and waxed. Hopefully by Thursday morning we will be headed down to Brialee. The bright note this week has been comments by the Tiffin mechanic who said our Bus was the best used Tiffin he's inspected. It only needed two lightbulbs. Everything else worked. Nice to hear. We will keep you updated as we not so patiently wait to get started ...

... Columbia Raincoat along the trail and as it was getting dark and no other hikers around we brought it home. Fits Phil just great. Next a stop at Stoneham Library and Phil’s book is out and has people waiting in line for it! Home for a while and then to Mt Vernon for our meal. Cool out today and a nor’easter heading our way in a couple of days, so looks like fall is here and winter is on its way.
