... There was about 4-6 inches at Carlson Lodge. Dinner at the Embers, that we had discovered last trip here.

December 16th-No breakfast at the lodge, we are only guests so guess they forgot. Out to eat in ‘town’ but nothing is open – all are closed for the season! ... The Wizard of Oz'. This film was made when colour was new to movies an so they were experimenting and decided to make the witch green because they could! Apparently up until this point all witches had had human skin tones. However the witch museum said that the green skin stereotype originates from an exaggeration of the green fingers and hands of the 'witches' (medical women) from all their herb picking. A lot of out stereotypes on witches actually have very boring foundations ...

... on hand and then made Phil a pancake snow man! After breakfast I started on my cookies. I had made three kinds at home and they are in the freezer here, and now I did 3 more kinds. We will take some to Tim, in the nursing home today, most will go to the guys in the family on Christmas and some to take to the Cape for New Years, dropping some off at Dick and Mary’s on the way. So it is now one pm and I just finished, read the paper, will take a shower and hope ...
