A travel blog entry by smaringanti on Sep 16, 2015

Short and busy 12 day trip for my 2 week vacation in third year of residency. Initially decided to visit sister in SFO but since it's been 4 years she visited India, we both planned to visit at the same time, co-incidentally for Pranav's 5th birthday. Days went by very fast hanging out with friends, cousins and finally birthday event. Birthday event was a grand success with good turn out of people from both Maringanti and Satuluri ...

The hotel is amazing. It's by far the nicest hotel I've ever stayed in. That first day it really was all about the room pics, so my overall hotel pics are lacking. But regardless, going to let the pictures do the talking here. Also, if I ever have a house, I need this bathtub. It's my favorite part of the entire room. Love.

Meera highlighted several of our key programs including those specifically for soilets and latrines (toilets), bore wells, basic health and ...

... a somewhat thick nose would be a problem. Of course at that time he assured me I was okay. Of course. Also, there is a problem with him saying it is healed in a week. In America they tell you to keep piercings in for a few months before changing them. I know these things.      I looked through his earring collection and found some corkscrew nose studs. I thought this was seriously the answer to my prayers. There were two that I liked and he insisted on ...

... what we thought was winning.  This was quite an experience. and the best part is now we feel like we better know the guards and say hi to them and bye to them as we come and go. They don't seem like strangers anymore.  At night a few of us got rickshaws to the mall to go to the Beer garden. Yeah, its weird there are bars in the mall that stay open at night. Different. Well, the beer garden was too crowded so we wound up going to a place called News Cafe ...
