    ... unfortunately it didn't appear to have seen a train for a number of years. Not quite Hollywood but there was a giant white G on the hillside when leaving the little port of Garibaldi. As with most places we pass through, the inhabitants seem very proud of their towns. And for some reason most of them have the pharmacy next door to the liquor store, or combined.     ... vegetables leftover from wrap stuffings, some italian sausage and cheese. Loaded all of that on top of the rest of the baby spinach we had and we gobbled it up. Camping food is the best food. We've been spoiled over the last few days, though, I haven't had to cook breakfast or put on the coffee in the morning because these campgrounds have breakfast specials (and really good coffee). Lazy mornings are the best.

    ... Then we headed inland to exchange Christmas presents. Eventually we got down to the old harbor, decorated with colorful sealift murals. Every single business was closed and it was only about 9p.m. We couldn't eat at the original Mo's so we settled for a pretty good 24 hour fish and chips place up US-101 a bit.     ... or stretch our legs.  The ride was extremely scenic and so far Oregon seems to be covered with forest.  Although we'd been biking along the coast almost the whole time today the forest always seems to be there, and often goes ride down to the waters edge.  A big difference in scenery we've noticed here is that everything is so green, quite different to the yellow/gold fields of California.
