... Houston. It was. Around 5:00 AM it was time to see if the suitcases would actually close. Thanks to YouTube, and an Army Ranger, we still had space. After finishing off the last two Krispy Kreme creme filled doughnuts I now was bordering on diabetic coma, but all the sugar was useful to keep running around checking the "to do" list. Walked around the ship at 3 AM to shoot some photos to give everyone a little photo tour today. Actually, that stupid decision to have pizza last night has me up trying to put out the flames in my throat from all the heartburn. Then I went back to bed, and slept in, because working on our forth time change has really screwed up the body ...

    Night 4: Merritt Safari

A travel blog entry by splencner on Dec 29, 2013

Night 4: Merritt Safari Today's physical dilemmas were dehydration and a huge swollen tonsil. The pressures off my sinuses and the fever is gone thanks to some great orange CVS bottle. I'm going to try to let my liver rest while I sleep. We drove 270 miles or so from Ormond Beach through Daytona and Merritt Island to this bedroom suburb between Ft. Lauderdale and Palm Beach. The weather was warm with a mix of sun and spotty cool rain, remnants from yesterday's front. We began the ...
