Cook sheltered here several times, mainly to repair his ship and load up with fresh water and food supplies.Ships Bay is well known for Cook's landings as he visited this area several times. ... Someone else's washing has gone everywhere too so we try hanging that back up, but there aren't enough pegs so as quickly as we hang it up it blows off again. We soon get bored of this and decide to dry our few remaining bits in the camper!

The rest of the evening is mainly spent cooking dinners, one for tonight and one ready to reheat tomorrow as we are unlikely to have much time, or inclination, to cook after our excursion ...
