As usual, most of the drive was winding hilly roads. The difference today was that along a lot of it were tantalising little glimpses down to the beautiful Charlotte Sound. Luckily I guess, the vegetation was high enough to provide ample distraction for the drivers.

... driving... It got more interesting when the road turned to yellowish, sandy gravel which created so much dust that Fatima was a different colour when I eventually arrived. It was a lot of fun going along, and having all day to do it in. The views when I did perilously sneak a look were of mountains, turquoise bays, native and fir forest with houses high on hillsides or by the water.
