Cameras are under particular threat from this sand (especially the mechanical zoom), and so I cleaned my camera and my shoulder bag as thoroughly as I could without looking like I have O.C.D.
In the shower I discovered the unbelievable power of the sun here. After only 35 minutes (with sunblock) I was visibly burnt on my legs and front, and a ...

Up to 20 eagles dive bombing the water, trying to get a piece of the skin. Han did not subscribe to the feeding, as the skin is very fatty and the eagles could become very lazy and harm them later in life. He was OK with others doing it, but did not want to add to the problem. He was very ecologically minded and it was very evident in his ...
Langkawi, Kedah, Malaysia nedkYesterday was a big day for me. I had initially planned on yet another day of beach bumming, but as I crossed the street towards the shore, something miraculous occurred: I looked in the right direction for oncoming traffic (right rather than left). It all sounds totally bonkers but we sign up and are told to get at the hotel the next day for breakfast and transport to the set. After we leave we then go to the bar and tell anyone who will listen that we are no movie stars and don't really have time to talk to the common man. "We need to be on set" and "Makeup and Wardrobe need to see us early" are mentioned regularly to people we meet.

That was the last boat to Penang... I got myself together (sort of) as i wanted to get there and not waste another day traveling. I figured out by asking many people that there was a 6:30pm boat ...
Satun, Thailand tracymiller... Eagle"), which is right next to the airport. It is a beautiful medium-sized four-star hotel. For convenience you may want to stay near the town centre which has an easterly location, but the main island of Langkawi isn't very big, and the hotel is just half an hour away by car.

So the evening was spent exploring the town and driving round the island.
