    20/2 Sind Richtung Zivilisation und aus akutem Geldmangel 2 Tage vorher aus Papua ausgereist; nach Neuseeland hat es noch nicht auf Anhieb gereicht, aber Brisbane ist schon mal ein gewaltiger Fortschritt: Bier zu akzeptablen Preisen, tragbare Temperaturen; hier laesst man Hunde in der Arena laufen statt sie zu schmoren!

    ... we discovered one of the features of this place - there are HUNDREDS of grasshoppers here. The four kids were particularly freaked out by them, as was I, and it's very hard to tell them not to squeal when that's my first instinct too! For dinner tonight we walked to a local fish and chip shop which had been recommended to us by someone at Adels Grove. It was worth the visit - we had barramundi and it was delicious.     ... best song over the CB radio between our car and Damien's car - we won of course. Arrived at Blackall and after setting up enjoyed "happy hour" listening to a great singer at the communal camp kitchen. Before dinner we had our showers and what an interesting experience that was. The water at Blackall comes from the Artesian Basin which means it is naturally very hot and has a lovely sulphur ie. ...

    ... of the field before getting tackled. Then a couple of plays later, he scored the last try of the game. His teammates ran down to celebrate with him and then carried him off the field on their shoulders!

    ... his family.We were invited to stay with the parents of his cousin (where I still am now) and have done a lot of visits. Especially to his nephew to store things there and arrange.
    On Saturday we went to the Gold Coast with his cousin. Where we had a nice chat at the waterside and went to the Spit where we had an amazing view over Surfers Paradise.They also invited us to share a huge bbq at his cousins place, what a feast that was!
