... has one third of the island's people. We spent several hours in its excellent museum. Much is made of their Celtic and Viking heritage. The Vikings were a pretty mean lot, but then I expect they were all a bit rough in the dark ages. The Celt's innovation was iron, especialy their iron swords.

Later we took a bus North to Laxey, home of the deepest lead mine in the Victorian world.

... was clean and Dan said if had been warmer he would of been in for a swim lol. It was a lovely place to visit, it also put Dan to the test when we called into a diner for a quick bite, he ordered a burger meal that was the biggest double cheese burger either of us had ever seen filled with onion rings, a side of hot chips and 6 pieces of crumbed chicken fillets.
