After the rehearsal, a local guide took us for a walking tour of Ghent, including St Bavo´s Cathedral, home of the Ghent Alterpiece (as seen in The Monuments Men). Unfortunately due to industrial action the actual exhibition was closed... but we did see a lifesize copy of the artwork briefly (which is housed in the chapel where the original lived for 500 years) - until the curator rushed in and closed it as ...

... the Gruut Brewery. The story with Gruut is that they use a herbs to brew their beers instead of hops. We sampled all that they had but found the one lone beer that was brewed with hops to be the best. I snacked on some sausage.
