... factory, we went to a vineyard. We were told that we had about 40 minutes or so there. Since Joseph and I are non-drinkers, we were out photographing the nearby woods instead. The wine must not have been very good as they were out pretty fast. Joseph was out in the sticks by that point. Takako said that the bus will pick us up down the road so not to rush back up the hill. I went down to where Joseph was and managed only a few shots before the bus arrived. ...

In the morning it was still raining and the clouds hanging low. No point to go on a mountain when you cannot see anything

So we decided to visit the lavender fields and town in Furano closed by. There farms that grow lavender - and for once not rice fields or soy beans - and those are attractions to Japanese tourists. There is a local train line going there which came handy

... sections of the park are each dedicated to one brewery who set up the infrastructure with tent (Bavarian Oktoberfest style), Food stalls, beer and beer, etc. At lunch we watched a number of house wifes with their children met there and had lunch together and a tower of beer for them
